WEEKLY BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Bulletin Announcements: Week of Sunday, April 21, 2019

 

Sub for Nikki: We are looking for someone who is willing to

 sub for Nikki when she is out of the office. Nikki will teach you

 how to make bulletins, make Church Council packets, and her

 daily jobs. Please inquire to Nikki in the church office by phone

 or email if you are interested. Thank you!

 

 VBS: We are looking for Adult Volunteers to help out with VBS

 this year. Please let Natalie know if you can help out. This year’s

 Community Vacation Bible School will be held, July 15 – 19

 from 9 AM – noon, at Orion Methodist Church. Please make

 a note of these dates on your calendars, and plan to participate

 in this awesome annual event! Forms will be out sometime in

 March. The theme for this year is “ROAR”. Forms are now

 available in the hallway. Cost is $5 per child BEFORE May

 31. 10 after that date and prior to VBS. $20 on the first day

 of VBS. Children need to be 4 by September 1, 2019 through

 those entering 6th grade. 7th grade through High School can be

 team leaders.

  

New flower chart for 2019: Has been posted in the narthex.

 You may sign up to provide flowers for one or two vases for our

 worship services. Flowers may be given in honor or memory of

 loved ones. The cost of flowers is $20 per vase. Please pay for

 your flowers at the time you sign up to provide them. There is

 a box for this purpose located directly beneath the flower signup chart.

 If you want to pay by cash, please enclose your

 payment in an envelope with your name on it, so our secretary

 knows who has made the payment. There are a lot of dates

 open for flowers.

   

Orion Backpack & Breakfast Program: The Orion Food

 Pantry is being carried out through the Orion School District

 Orion Backpack Program provides nutritious kid friendly

 food to children who live in “food insecure” households

 (households without consistent access to food) to get them

 through the weekend when school meals are not available. If

 you would like to donate to the Backpack Program, we are

 wanting individually wrapped snacks. Such as: goldfish,

crackers, cheese and crackers animal crackers, pudding

cups, fruit cups, fruit snacks, and jello cups. There are

containers in the hallway for your donations. Thank you for your

support of this program!

 

Graduation Seniors: Sunday, May 12 at the 10:30 AM

 service, we will have a service honoring you. A special

 reception for our graduates will be held immediately following

 the worship service. All are invited to attend.

  

 

PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE:  We interviewed a candidate April 1.

 The candidate informed the committee on April 10, that discernment

 was not leading him/her to St. Paul. The Synod will continue to work with us

 to fine the right candidate.
