VBS: We are looking for Adult Volunteers to help out with VBS this year. Please let Natalie know if you can help out. This year’s Community Vacation Bible School will be held, July 15 – 19 from 9 AM – noon, at Orion Methodist Church. Please make a note of these dates on your calendars, and plan to participate in this awesome annual event!”. Forms are now available in the hallway. Cost  is $5 per child BEFORE May 31. The cost will be $10 after that date and prior to VBS. $20 on the first day of VBS. Children need to be 4 by September 1, 2019 through those entering 6th grade. 7th grade through college can be team leaders.

VBS Crew Leaders: Students who will complete the 6th grade in June of 2019 through those students in college are invited to be crew leaders at this year’s Community Vacation Bible School. Dates are July 15 – 19 at Orion Methodist Church. You may sign-up by putting your name on the youth green bulletin board in the courtyard hallway, or by contacting Natalie Farwell.

Flower chart for 2019: Has been posted in the narthex. You may sign up to provide flowers for one or two vases for our worship services. Flowers may be given in honor or memory of loved ones. The cost of flowers is $20 per vase. Please pay for your flowers at the time you sign up to provide them. There is a box for this purpose located directly beneath the flower sign-up chart. If you want to pay by cash, please enclose your payment in an envelope with your name on it, so our secretary knows who has made the payment. There are a lot of dates open for flowers.

Sunday School: On Sunday, May 26, the Sunday School classes will walk to the Lutheran Cemetery (weather permitting). On this last day of Sunday School, parents and all others are invited to join the children as we focus on honoring the men and women who have served our country, both in the past and in the present time.

“God’s Work-Our Hands”: Sunday, August 25. If you would like to order one of our ELCA t-shirts, please see the display in the courtyard hallway. The last day to order t-shirts is Sunday, July 28.

Red Cross Blood Drive: Wednesday, June 5th from 2-6 PM in the Ark. If you are interested in donating the gift of life, call Helen Ward to set up an appointment. You do not need an appointment to donate blood. Come on out and donate!

Vacation Bible School Donations: Our annual list of donations needed for VBS is now posted in the courtyard hallway. All three participating churches are asked to provide food, craft, and other items that will be used the week of VBS. By donating the needed items, we are able to keep the cost for those children attending VBS as low as possible. A sign-up sheet is now on display in the courtyard hallway for donations for VBS teen treats. Your support would be appreciated in feeding these hard-working young people who serve the entire week of VBS (July 15-19). Donations are due on Sunday, June 23rd. Thank you for your support!

Church Office – Summer Hours: Church office will be open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Office hours will change again in August when school resumes. Thank you!

St. Paul Lutheran Annual Pork Chop Supper & Ice Cream Social: Wednesday, July 3rd, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Join us for great food, fellowship, and music provided by the Orion Community Band. All are invited to attend. The Orion Lighted Parade and Fireworks will be held the same evening. Many volunteers are needed to make this annual event a success. Please sign-up to donate supplies, prepare food, serve customers, clean up, and help in many other ways. This event is one of the largest outreach activities to the community, so plan to be a part of it! Sign-up sheets are available in the West Connection.
